The following notes detail issues in the Rational Team Concert 3.0 M4a milestone update (March 5, 2010) that users and consumers of Rational Team Concert should be aware of.

Fixes

The 3.0 M4 milestone had a number of defects that were affecting the Jazz development teams when self-hosting on the milestone. The issues including problems when running the server on Tomcat, saving work items, moving work items between project areas, opening various build artifacts in a 2.x Eclipse client and viewing the "My Work View" in the Eclipse client. Each of these issues has been addressed in this 3.0 M4a update.

Repository created using the setup wizard may be unusable

Defect 107487 describes a problem wherein a repository created using the setup wizard may be unusable. This defect was not fixed in this milestone update. The workaround is to use repotools to create the repository.

Must run repotools commands when upgrading an existing server

If you are upgrading an existing server OTHER THAN 3.0 M4a you must run the following commands in the order listed below after the 3.0 M4 server code has been deployed but before the upgraded server is run for the first time:

1. repotools -addTables
2. repotools -rebuildClosureTable

If you already upgraded your server to 3.0 M4 you must follow the instructions in comment 39 of task 107689.
