Snapshots

Take a snapshot of a plan to record the current status of the plan and the work items in the plan. Snapshots provide a better view on how plans evolve over time. You can also compare snapshots. To view the snapshot tab, you must add "?planning=v3" after the project name string in the URL. For example, if the URL is https://servername:port/rtc/web/projects/projectarea#action..., the modified URL will look like https://servername:port/rtc/web/projects/projectarea?planning=v3#action...

Risks

Every project has some known and unexpected risks. As a project manager, you can define risks, add strategies, and create work items to take action against risks. The risks work items are available only if you use the Formal Project Management process template.

Tracking time for a work item

You can enter the number of hours per day that you spend on a work item in the Work Item editor. You might have performed multiple tasks such as coding, testing, and documentation for a work item. These tasks are called time codes. You can associate the workitem with multiple time codes. The Time Tracking tab is available only if you use the Formal Project Management process template.

  • Link development plans across project areas
  • Link development plans with requirements collections in Rational DOORS Requirement Professional
  • Link development plans with test plans in Rational Quality Manager
This is still work in progress, as a result to view the Links tab, you must add "?planning=v3" after the project name string in the URL. For example, if the URL is https://servername:port/rtc/web/projects/projectarea#action..., the modified URL will look like https://servername:port/rtc/web/projects/projectarea?planning=v3#action...
